Attendees at the upcoming state fair will have a new item to choose from on the Pork Schoppe menu: Bacon-Wrapped Pork On-a-Stick. The new offering features tender, juicy pork loin wrapped in hardwood smoked bacon, lightly seasoned, grilled to perfection, and served in true state fair fashion: on a stick.
“Bacon continues to be a popular item with consumers” says Mandy Masters, Wisconsin Pork Association’s Program Director. “Many people also come to the fair in search of foods served on a stick, which makes the bacon wrapped pork on a stick the perfect food to satisfy what fairgoers are looking for.”
In addition to the new Bacon Wrapped Pork On-a-Stick, the Pork Schoppe will continue to serve the original butterfly pork chop sandwich, pork burger, and pork chop on a stick, along with other food and drink items.
You can find the Pork Schoppe at the 2018 Wisconsin State Fair which runs August 2-12 at State Fair Park in West Allis. The Pork Schoppe is located in the big white tent on the northeast corner of the Wisconsin Products Pavilion at the intersection of Grandstand and Wisconsin Way.
The Pork Schoppe serves as a fundraiser for the Wisconsin Pork Association and supports WPA’s mission to insure the future success of the Wisconsin Pork Industry. WPA represents the interests of the pork industry members with a strong emphasis on social issues, public and government policies, environment, animal welfare and safety.
