The Wisconsin Pork Association has added several new items to its Pork Schoppe food stand menu at the Wisconsin State Fair. Fairgoers will now be able to enjoy thick-cut hickory smoked bacon served on the original butterfly pork chop sandwich and pork burger. Strips of bacon will also be sold individually by the slice.
Also new this year, the Pork Schoppe will serve a half butterfly pork chop sandwich for those with smaller appetites. Customers will also have the option to add cheese to their sandwiches. The Pork Schoppe will continue to serve the original butterfly pork chop sandwich, pork burger, and pork chop on a stick.
You can find the Pork Schoppe at the 2015 Wisconsin State Fair which runs August 6-16 at State Fair Park in West Allis. The Pork Schoppe is located in the big white tent on the northeast corner of the Wisconsin Products Pavilion at the intersection of Grandstand and Third Street.
The Pork Schoppe serves as a fundraiser for the Wisconsin Pork Association and supports WPA’s mission to insure the future success of the Wisconsin Pork Industry. WPA represents the interests of the pork industry members with a strong emphasis on social issues, public and government policies, environment, animal welfare and safety.
