Resources

US SHIP is being modeled after the National Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP), a collaborative effort involving industry, state, and federal partners providing standards for certifying the health status of greater than 99% of commercial scale poultry and egg operations across the US.

The Wisconsin Pork Association offers two tiers of rebates to producers testing for Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome (PRRS) and Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea Virus (PEDv). Testing is required to comply with Wisconsin’s Animal Health rule effective March 2018. The rule requires farms with pigs to test for PRRS and PEDv when moving intrastate or interstate.
