The Wisconsin Pork Association (WPA) is pleased to offer several scholarships to high school seniors and college students. WPA is pleased to promote additional scholarships through local pork producer groups and the National Pork Producers Council.
The purpose of the WPA internship program is to provide an opportunity for a young person to serve a 10-week summer internship as the official youth representative of the Wisconsin Pork Association. The program will be administered by the WPA Youth Committee under the supervision of the Executive Vice President.
The National Pork Producers Council (NPPC) unveiled a new Strategic Investment Program, “Young Pork Advocates,” for young individuals ages 18-22. This initiative expands on NPPC’s Strategic Investment Program and aims to empower young advocates within the pork industry.
4-H and FFA youth are eligible to apply for a $100 scholarship used to offset costs associated with their 2026 pig project. Our goal is to raise enough funds to award a minimum of 50 scholarships. Age divisions, as of January 1st, 2026, are as follows: Ages 9-11, 12-15, and 16-19.
The second annual Young Leaders Program will take place on Thursday, January 29th, 2026, in conjunction with Wisconsin’s Corn Soy Expo at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells. This event is geared toward youth ages 7-19 who are interested in agriculture, specifically the swine, corn, and soybean industries.
